Customer Sync

Create or sync customers with Shopify so store credit is associated with the same customer across in-store and online. New customers created in the POS can be pushed to Shopify, and existing Shopify customers can be linked for balance sync.

Batch Shopify Balance Fetch

Fetch store credit balances from Shopify in bulk. This updates SortSwift with the latest Shopify balances so in-store staff see accurate amounts. Use before busy periods or after online activity that may have changed balances.

Push Balances to Shopify

Push SortSwift store credit balances to Shopify. Use when in-store credits (returns, manual adds) should be reflected online. This ensures customers see the same balance whether they shop in-store or on your Shopify store.

Balance sync direction and timing depend on your configuration. Some stores prefer Shopify as the source of truth; others use SortSwift. Configure based on where credits are most frequently added.

Best Practices

Run batch fetch periodically (e.g., start of day) if Shopify balances change often
Push to Shopify after in-store credit changes you want visible online
Ensure customer records match (email/customer ID) so sync links correctly
Check sync status and logs if balances seem out of sync
