Profile Management
Manage your account profile. Update personal information, store details, contact information, and preferences.

Accessing Profile Settings
How to access your profile:
- Navigate to /profile
- Or click on your user menu/avatar in the navigation
- Profile page shows "Profile" heading
- Form displays with current account information
Tax Settings
Configure tax-related information:
- Tax Rate: Percentage rate for tax calculations
- Tax ID: Your business tax identification number
- Round to Nearest $0.05: Toggle to round prices to nearest nickel
Currency Settings
Set your store currency:
- Store Currency: Select from available currencies (USD, CAD, EUR, etc.)
- Currency Symbol: Automatically updates based on selection
- Impact: Affects pricing display across the platform
- Header Update: Currency in navigation header updates automatically
Uploading Store Logo
Steps to upload logo:
- Click "Choose File" or file input button
- Select image file from your device
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- Preview appears after selection
- Logo uploads when you save profile
- Logo displayed in POS, buylist, and other store interfaces
Saving Profile Changes
How to save your updates:
- Make changes to any profile fields
- Click "Save" or "Update Profile" button
- Loading indicator shows during save
- Success message appears: "Profile updated successfully!"
- Currency preference syncs to header immediately
- User data refreshes to reflect changes
Error Handling
Common errors and solutions:
- Save Failed: Check internet connection, try again
- Logo Upload Error: Ensure file is valid image format, not too large
- Currency Sync Error: Currency preference updates separately if sync fails
- Validation Errors: Check field requirements (email format, etc.)
- Network Timeout: Refresh page and try saving again
