Subscriptions & Billing

Manage your subscription plan, view billing history, upgrade or downgrade plans, and understand scan limits.

Subscription Plans


Choose a subscription plan at /billing/subscribe:

  • Plan Selection: View available subscription tiers
  • Features: Compare features and scan limits across plans
  • Pricing: Review pricing and billing intervals (monthly, yearly)
  • Popular Plan: Highlighted "Most Popular" badge for recommended plan
  • Subscribe Button: Click to subscribe to selected plan
  • Coupon Codes: Enter coupon codes for discounts (if applicable)

Viewing Your Subscriptions


Access subscription management at /billing/my-subscriptions:

  • Active Subscriptions: View all active subscription plans
  • Subscription Details: Plan name, price, billing interval
  • Status: Active, canceled, pending cancellation status
  • Billing Dates: Next billing date and last payment date
  • Renewal Date: When subscription renews
  • Card Information: Last 4 digits of payment card (if applicable)

Scan Limits


Understanding scan limits:

  • Monthly Limits: Number of scans allowed per month
  • Rollover Scans: Unused scans may roll over (plan dependent)
  • Usage Tracking: View current month's scan usage
  • Limit Exceeded: Upgrade plan if you need more scans
  • Plan Comparison: Compare scan limits across different tiers

Canceling Subscription


Steps to cancel subscription:

  1. Navigate to /billing/my-subscriptions
  2. Find subscription you want to cancel
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription" button
  4. Confirm cancellation in dialog
  5. Subscription marked for cancellation
  6. Subscription remains active until end of billing period
  7. Access continues until cancellation date
  8. No refunds for unused portion (typical policy)

Resuming Subscription


Resume a canceled subscription:

  1. Go to subscription management page
  2. Find subscription with "pending_cancellation" status
  3. Click "Resume Subscription" button
  4. Confirm resumption in dialog
  5. Subscription reactivated immediately
  6. Billing continues as normal
  7. Success notification appears

Upgrading or Downgrading


Changing your subscription tier:

  1. Navigate to /billing/subscribe
  2. Review available plans
  3. Select new plan tier (upgrade or downgrade)
  4. Complete payment if upgrade requires additional payment
  5. Pro-rated billing may apply
  6. Changes take effect immediately (upgrades) or at next billing cycle (downgrades)

Billing History


View your payment history:

  • Payment Records: View all past payments and charges
  • Payment Date: Date of each transaction
  • Amount: Payment amount for each billing cycle
  • Status: Payment status
  • Receipts: Download receipts/invoices if available

Payment Methods


Managing payment information:

  • Card Display: Last 4 digits shown for security
  • Update Card: Update payment method through subscription settings
  • Default Payment: Set default payment method for recurring billing
  • Payment Failure: Receive notification if payment fails
  • Auto-Retry: System may retry failed payments
