How SKU Matching Works

SortSwift keeps SKU records consistent by pairing each item you add with an existing product entry. This overview shows the cues the system relies on so you can supply clean data and resolve mismatches quickly.

Matching Criteria

  • Product Identifier: TCGplayer, CardTrader, or internal product IDs are the primary match point.
  • Condition & Finish: NM vs. LP and Normal vs. Foil determine the specific stock row.
  • Language: Each language is tracked separately to avoid cross-listing mistakes.
  • Fallback Fields: When IDs are missing, SortSwift uses name + set + number comparisons.

When to Review Matches

  • New printings or promo cards that share names with older releases.
  • Alternate art, etched foils, or special treatments that require distinct SKUs.
  • Buylist submissions where customers may pick the wrong set or finish.
  • Manual imports created from spreadsheets without product IDs.
