Overview

Add stock to existing inventory items when:

• Receiving Shipments: Add newly arrived stock
• Processing Buylists: Add items from buylist orders
• Transfers: Add stock transferred from another location
• Returns: Add returned items back to inventory
• Corrections: Fix inventory count errors

Adding Stock to Single Item

Increase quantity for a single item:

1. Find the item in your inventory
2. Click "Add Stock" or "Increase Quantity"
3. Enter quantity to add
4. Optionally enter cost price for new stock
5. Add notes about the addition (optional)
6. Click "Add" to confirm
7. Quantity updates immediately

Bulk Add Stock

Add stock to multiple items at once:

1. Select multiple items in inventory view
2. Click "Bulk Add Stock"
3. Choose to add same quantity to all or specify per item
4. Enter quantities
5. Optionally set cost prices
6. Add notes (applied to all items)
7. Confirm bulk addition
8. All items update simultaneously

Adding from Buylist Orders

Send buylist items to inventory:

• Automatic Addition: Use "Send to Inventory" from buylist
• Cost Tracking: Buylist prices automatically set as cost
• Batch Processing: Add entire buylist order at once
• SKU Matching: Automatically matches to existing items

Cost Tracking

Track costs when adding stock:

• Per-Item Cost: Set cost for newly added stock
• Average Cost: System can calculate average cost
• Profit Margin: See profit margins update automatically
• Cost History: Track cost changes over time

Notes and Tracking

Document stock additions:

• Addition Notes: Why stock was added
• Source: Where stock came from
• Purchase Order: Reference PO numbers
• Supplier Info: Track vendor/supplier
• Condition Notes: Document condition of new stock

Location-Specific Additions

Add stock to specific locations:

• Select Location: Choose which location receives stock
• Multi-Location: Add to different locations simultaneously
• Transfer Add: Add at one location, reduce at another
• Default Location: Set preferred default location

Platform Synchronization

After adding stock:

• Auto-Sync: Quantities sync to connected platforms
• Availability Update: Out-of-stock items become available
• Listing Creation: New items can be auto-listed
• Sync Timing: Depends on your sync settings

History Logging

All stock additions are logged:

• Addition Record: Date, time, and user who added stock
• Quantity Added: How much was added
• Cost Information: Cost at time of addition
• Source Notes: Any notes about the addition
• Audit Trail: Complete history for each item
