Scanning Process

Understand the recommended flow for preparing images, uploading them, and reviewing matches when using the File Upload scanner.

1. Prepare Your Images

  • Use a flat, evenly lit surface to photograph card batches.
  • Avoid glare and heavy shadows—diffused light produces the most reliable matches.
  • Group cards by game or set to make review faster after recognition.
  • Save images in JPG or PNG format at 150–300 DPI for balanced clarity and upload speed.

2. Upload to SortSwift

  1. Open Scanning → File Upload in the SortSwift dashboard.
  2. Select or drag-and-drop your prepared images into the upload tray.
  3. Assign a batch name so you can identify the results later.
  4. Click Start Processing; SortSwift queues the images and begins recognition in the background.

3. Review Matches

  • Open the batch results once processing reaches 100%.
  • Compare the suggested matches to your cards and approve or adjust as necessary.
  • Flag any uncertain matches for manual follow-up—these stay grouped for quick editing.
  • Send approved cards to staging or inventory when you are satisfied with the batch.
