Getting Started

Access Simple Sifter, understand the OCR-based scanning interface, and prepare for scanning.

To access Simple Sifter:

  1. Navigate to /scanner/simple-scan in your SortSwift account
  2. The page displays a simple upload interface
  3. Upload card images using drag-and-drop or file selection
  4. Images are added to the queue
  5. Click "Identify" to start OCR recognition

What is Simple Sifter?

Simple Sifter is a lightweight OCR-based scanning tool:

  • OCR Technology: Uses text recognition to identify cards
  • Lightweight: Faster processing, simpler interface
  • Browser-Based: Runs entirely in your browser (no server processing)
  • Text Recognition: Identifies cards by reading text on the card
  • Quick Scanning: Ideal for rapid card identification
  • Best for cards with clear, readable text

Interface Overview

The Simple Sifter interface includes:

  • Upload Area: Drag-and-drop zone for images
  • Queue Drawer: List of uploaded images
  • Progress Indicators: Shows OCR progress for each image
  • Results Display: Recognized text from each image
  • Identify Button: Starts OCR recognition process
  • Clear Button: Removes all files from queue
